This post is a The Art of Seduction summary. Specifically, it is a summary of Part 2, Chapter 15: Isolate the Victim.
The Art of Seduction was written by Robert Greene. This chapter summary was written by Sam Fury.
Isolating your targets will make them more reliant on you and therefore more likely to be influenced by you.
The isolation can be physically separating them from their friends and family, such as taking them on vacation.
It can also be psychological, where you cloud their mind with thoughts of you.
People may seem strong on the outside, but the truth is that almost everyone is vulnerable.
What makes them strong are the safety nets they keep—friends, family, daily habits, etc.
These things give them a sense of safety and control.
Take these things away and you’ll uncover who they really are.
The way to remove your target’s safety nets is through isolation disguised as pleasure. Block out friends and family with constant presence. Take them to unfamiliar places. Bring them into your world and get them doing things they’ve never done before.
In most seductions, your worst enemies are your target’s friends and family. They are often on-guard, protective, immune to your charms, and a voice of reason in your target’s ear.
Battle them by subtly insinuating that they are jealous that you found each other, or that they’re parental figures that have lost a taste for adventure.
Your target will make comparisons of you in their mind against previous lovers. Prevent this by remaining constantly on their mind” for clarity.
Isolation can’t be done too soon or it will make your target panic. Disguise it as pleasure and make it gradual.
Also, You don’t want them to remain isolated for too long. You must replace their old comforts with new ones.
