A good seduction requires focus, strategy, and patience.

Fortunately, there is an order to the seduction process, and that is what the following chapters will cover. The order is not strict, but it is scientific: based on human psychology.

Remember: A good seduction doesn’t happen instantly. Take your time to occupy your target’s thoughts.

With the exception of phase four (which is specifically sexual), all the tactics are applicable to all types of social and political seductions.

Sam’s Note: I am straying from the original book’s order here. In the book, overviews of each phase in the seductive process are described before the next set of steps are detailed. Instead, I have decided to give a single overview of all the phases now, and then I will detail each step in order, one by one.

This initial phase is when you stir interest and desire. Your goal is to slowly separate your target from their closed off world so that their mind is filled with thoughts of you.

First you must choose the right target. Then, get them interested in you. If they seem resistant, you can try an indirect approach, such as building a friendship first. For those who are less difficult, either send mixed signals or display how others desire you. 

Once you have your target’s interest, you need to turn it into desire. First, stir within your target feelings that they are lacking adventure and romance in their lives. Then, subtly plant the idea that you are the one to fulfill those needs.

Mirror their values and indulge them so they constantly think about you. Finally, create temptation by offering irresistible pleasure or adventure.

Your target has a growing desire for you, but they could easily be swayed away. You must keep them emotional and confused. Give them pleasure but make them want more, so that they can no longer retreat. 

Pleasant surprises will keep them off-balance, seeing you as unpredictable. 

Stimulate their fantasies with your words and arouse their senses by spending time on the details. 

Be careful not to get too familiar. You need to keep your air of mystery. Keep your distance — absence makes the heart grow fonder. 

They may sense they are falling for you. Now is the time to disarm any suspicions of your manipulations with a display of vulnerability. Let them know how emotional you’ve become because of them.

Give them just a taste of their fantasy, so they keep coming back for more.

In phase three, you want to make all the effects you have on them deeper.

Do something noble or chivalrous to display how far you will go for them. 

Send them into regression by bringing their childhood desires and wounds to the surface. This will embed you deep into their mind.

Once here, get them to act out their dark sides, then confuse them with spiritual lures. Show them that you are not motivated by lust; rather, it is destiny that controls you.

Finally, stir up uncomfortable feelings and anxieties to build tension.

The stage is set. First you seduced the mind, then their emotions. Now comes the physical.

By now, your target is filled with desire. Show them a little indifference to tip them over the edge. They will chase you. 

Lure them in with the physical and then use a bold move to seal the deal.
