3 Simple Ways To Actually Use What You Read

You ever finish a book that blew your mind…

then go right back to doing exactly what you were doing before?

Same.

I’ve realized that reading alone doesn’t create change.

Acting on what you read does.

Here’s 3 things I’m doing to make that shift.

1. Stop Believing Reading Alone Changes Anything

I love non-fiction, especially books packed with actionable ideas.

But knowledge without action is just potential energy.

To get real results, you have to move from inspiration to implementation.

2. Choose What’s Worth Acting On

You don’t have to apply everything from every book.

Some ideas just don’t need a deep dive.

Instead, focus on the one or two lessons that really matter right now.

If you’re reading to improve, even just a little, start small.

The main thing is to start!

3. Share Your Takeaways (and Your Plan)

Here’s what I’m doing to stay accountable:

Every time I finish a “
Sam’s Detailed Summary,” I’ll share my main takeaways and my plan of action.

Sometimes it’ll be a list of lessons.

Other times, a simple step-by-step plan I’m testing myself.

Or perhaps both.
